Little Labs
Little Labs was founded by Jonathan Little in 1988. He came from the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979 with a background in electronics, to be a Studio Tech in LA. The first Little Labs product he designed was the Microphone Preamplifier, which has recently been re-released as the LMNOpre with more features, but internally using the same discreet gain stages. He has worked in the technical department of several top LA Studios including Conway Studios, where he was the Chief Tech, A&M studios (ten years), Village Recorder, Cherokee,and the now defunct Devonshire and Salty Dog studios. It is at these fine studios where he refined his products with the help and feed back of truly the best recording engineers in the world.
We reckon the Red Eye is an excellent DI for all Live and Studio use and in re-amp mode a great way to use your vintage FX in the studio.
The Red Eye is a passive direct box/re-amp box with unique expansion capabilities. The high quality passive direct box in the Red Eye features phase reverse and earth lift. At the push of a button the Red Eye converts from a direct box into a re-amp box with its own input and output connectors. The re-amp in the Red Eye features earth lift, phase reverse, and level control.
