Founded in 1997 by the husband and wife team of Mark and Beth McQuilken as a means to produce and distribute the Really Nice Compressor (RNC), FMR Audio has been in the making for years. Mark and Beth have been high-tech design consultants under the name of Electronic Design Services (EDS) since 1986, providing cost-effective electronic designs and design support for such companies as RCA, Motorola, Lockheed Martin, Boston University Center for Space Physics and BMW, to name a few.
The RNC is affordable and it’s the real deal. It's used in world class recording studios, live venues and bedroom studios all over the planet. I just cant keep saying this but the RNC is must have for musicians, project studios and pro studios alike. Basically you can’t go wrong with a RNC.
The RNC is a high-fidelity, stereo compressor intended to provide dynamic range control with minimal side effects. The RNC achieves such high performance at a low cost by using evolutionary advances in digital technology, coupled with the best analog has to offer. Using digital controls and an all-analog signal path, the RNC offers accurate, precise controls and a clean tonal character.
